REQUIREMENTS: A Grade 10 qualification will serve as an advantage; Basic literacy, numeracy, and communication skills; Ability to read and write; Ability to operate elementary machines and equipment; Willing to work extended hours when necessary.

DUTIES: Maintaining high-level hygiene in and around the SAPS premises where routine tasks are to be performed, which may include inner or outer parameters; Performing routine tasks such as dusting furniture and floors, removing refuse bags; Mopping all tiled floors; Cleaning bathrooms, kitchenware and utensils; Safekeeping and handling of a variety of cleaning materials.

The Crimes Act (Forensic Procedures) Amendment Act, Act No. 37 of 2013, requires all new appointments to the South African Police Service on or after 31 January 2015 to provide a buccal (inner cheek) swab to determine their forensic DNA profile. The forensic DNA profile derived from the sample will be uploaded to the disposal index of the national forensic DNA database. All shortlisted candidates will be subject to fingerprint screening and reference checks.
