West Coast District (Contract until 31 March 2025)
SALARY: R107 196 per annum, plus 37% in place of service benefits
CENTRE: Berg river Sub-district
REQUIREMENTS : Minimum requirement: Basic literacy and numeracy. Experience: Appropriate experience in transporting personnel and goods. Inherent requirements of the job: Valid (Code B/C1/EB) driver’s license. Valid PDP required. Must be physically fit and able to load/unload heavy goods/equipment. Must be able to speak two of the three official languages of the Western Cape. Competencies (knowledge/skills): Must be able to speak clearly and legibly. Knowledge of Transport regulations Handbook 1 of 2019). Ability to accept accountability, and responsibility and to work independently. Must be able to read and write accurately.
DUTIES: Daily transporting of the post, packages, medication, goods and equipment and if necessary official passengers. Daily completion of logbooks. Conduct routine inspection, maintenance, and cleaning of the vehicle and report any defects. Perform routine administrative duties when required and respond to emergencies when necessary. Support supervisors and clinics when required.
